READY FOR AZALEA TOP
8 jul 2015
¡Hola!
Hi! Once I have overcome months of indecision and worries about writing for the first time in this blog, I definitely start it. This post is about what I have on my needles now: Azalea top by Pam Allen. It's a KAL organized by Vegaknits and Siona, with email help and a Ravelry forum.

Knitting linen is the most difficult thing I have found till now in this project. Loops do not slide easily between them, but can drop with no difficult off a pair of metallic needles. Besides, Siona told us that blocking linen is not as blocking wool. Stiches remain the same as they were knitted. It is really unmanageable. How do I solve it? Tightening my tension, especially while purling, and using bamboo neddles. By this way I have an uniform texture and a better control while knitting.

On the contrary, I love the colour and the freshness of this natural fiber. I've already known the big range of wonderful dusty colours of Quince & Co., but never had the chance to check it with my own eyes. The day I received the package with the skeins at home, you should have seen my face. I was like a girl that find a treasure. I can be a litle weird, but that night I slept with the yarn on my bedside :D And, what about the fresh touch of linen fiber? You should check it you haven't yet. Especially if the weather in your area is as hot as this summer in Spain.
And that's all for my first post. If you would like to see the progress of my Azalea top, you can visit me on Instagram. See you soon!
